Problem with Admin

Ok, I'm a moderator on a board where the founder/creator/admin has a bit of a god complex and is very, very difficult to deal with. I and several other members have an obscene about of time and energy invested in this board but we are rapidly becoming fed up. So... my question: as far as forumotion is concerned, would it be ok for us to create our own forum that essentially mirrors the original forum? Basically, we would want to initially create the same structure, topics, etc and, through a crazy about of copying of existing posts, reinvent the board in a much friendlier atmosphere.

Would we run into any TOS issues with this? I would not want to invest as much time as this would take only to have the forum ripped down for some violation....

Yes, i think if stuff is copied directly from that forum. You will get into trouble.

If you want to start afresh, without copying you are allowed to do so.

But I could copy my own posts from the original forum over to my new forum, right? Then, if other members want to switch over, they could do the same on their own? That way I would not be grabbing anything that I did not originally post.

Yes, i think if individual members do copy their own posts then its fine.
