Post by Joana August 25th 2006, 12:58 pm

Good morning to you all
I'm new in this forum's things and I've a doubt.
I want to put a clock in my forum, and I found one that I want because we can change the background.
But I can understand the inscrutions.... I don't know what I have to do to change the image.
Can you help me please?

<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
codebase="http://active.macromedia.com/flash6/cabs/swflash.cab#version=6,0,0,0"
id="horloge3" width=200 height=200>
<param name=movie value="/dossier/horloge.swf">
<param name=quality value=high>
<param name=bgcolor value=#FFFFFF>
<param name=wmode value=window>
<param name=menu value=false>
<embed src="/dossier/horloge.swf" quality=autohigh bgcolor=#FFFFFF
width=200 height=200 wmode=window menu=false type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer">
</embed></object>

ATTENTION : Remplacer "/dossier/" par le dossier où est uploader votre horloge !

I'll wait for answers... Please

Hello ^^

I'll translate this for you Smile

To change the clock's background, all you have to do is to create an image :

- size : 200 x 200 pixels
- the image must be in ".jpg"

------------------------------------

> To install this clock on your website, all you have to do is to upload on your FTP or your hosting service the following files :

- fond.jpg
- horloge.swf

IMPORTANT : these 2 files must be in the same folder !

------------------------------------

> Here's the script to install your clock :

<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
codebase="http://active.macromedia.com/flash6/cabs/swflash.cab#version=6,0,0,0"
id="horloge3" width=200 height=200>
<param name=movie value="/dossier/horloge.swf">
<param name=quality value=high>
<param name=bgcolor value=#FFFFFF>
<param name=wmode value=window>
<param name=menu value=false>
<embed src="/dossier/horloge.swf" quality=autohigh bgcolor=#FFFFFF
width=200 height=200 wmode=window menu=false type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer">
</embed></object>

IMPORTANT : Replace "/dossier/" by the folder where your image is uploaded !

So just one more question

What hosting service are they talking about?
One for pictures or for files?
Do I need to zip the documents?

Hi ^^

I guess any service will do, just make sure it accepts ".swf" files Wink

But I think it would be better to put them on a FTP, dince they say the files must be in the same folder Smile

A FTP is a File Transfer Prototcol, it allows you to host you files on the web by yourself Wink

Let's say it is a folder (like in your PC), but on the net Smile

You can get one here : http://openswarm.com , and you will also need some software, try downloading Filezilla or FTP Expert 3, they are really easy Wink

If your clock is not too heavy, you can use Photobucket to host the .jpg and the clock.

All is needed is to create an account and you don't need any FTP client : https://www.photobucket.com

You can create sub-albums in your album and Photobucket accepts flash files, images and videos.

hum... I really can't help you with this.

All I can do is to suggest you to take a look to flash clocks on this link : http://forum.forumactif.com/viewtopic.forum?t=16540

All you have to do is to copy-paste the code in a portal block after clicking on the <> button.

To preview a clock, just copy-paste its url in your address bar.
