Feel like giving up on Google Adwords.I got 70 odd clicks and not one person has joined. Either my forum looks poop,or I am getting the wrong people clicking my Ad,which is a waste of clicks Confused

Any advice on other advertising

Yeah, partnership.

You could ask a friend to host a small icon which would link to your forum. Most of the times, they accept if you do the same for them.

That should do the trick

You could also put your site in your profile here and it shows up underneath each of your posts. Also submit to lots of search engines to generate more traffic Smile

I have submitted to lots of search Engines and havent even had guests with it. Seems you need to work hard in getting traffic to your forum.I didnt realise how hard it was to be honest.

Whatever you do don't give up, it will just take time to get good traffic, I've only got 4 members on my forum but I'm trying to finish the forum and then add what they call meta tags to the forum, adding loads of them into the code section on the title of the homepage or on a block off my portal. Putting loads of them on, partnering up with other forums and sumbitting to loads of search engines would get descent traffic.

(BTW: Try and get what they call Web CEO and you could try and sumbit your site/forum to hundreds off search engines with it, i currently got my website on search engines all over the world using it.)

I have had my forum for a couple of weeks.I suppose that sint long enough.

Also be carefull with who you partner with, believe me. It can also have terrible influences...

About having members, I know what you mean: new forum, hard work, it just looks so nice, and yet no one. I know, I've had my forum for almost a year, 50 odd members at best

I've got mine since May and I only have 57 membres... Until now just 29 spoke... But that depends about the forum.

Its a Pregnancy Forum...For family also.

I am Currently 36 weeks pregnant and after being a member of a couple of pregnancy forums,it seemed something I would like to do myself.

I got it advertised on google as a new forum so that people knew it was new,so it didnt attract people wanting or expecting a forum with 100's of members,but I have been told it takes a few months advertised to get anywhere.

But obviously atm I got 70 odd clicks and its cost me £10 for nothing basically..lol,so a few months of clicks but maybe no members is kind of depressing.
