How can I check a user profile before the activation

I am very new here and this is also my first forum.

I had a closed one and only invited members are allowed. So I had to activate each account via Mail. Now I got a mail, that there is a new user. I dont know him. Can I see his profile without doing the activation. Perhaps he is some of my members but use a unknown username.

How do you even choose to activate a member or not? Pls advise me. Do PM me if possible.

Well im sure you just click on there username and it brings them up but you should be able to see the email addy they registered with just by putting your mouse over the envolop.

yes but the problem is i cant see the user in my user lists before I activate it. So I cant see the profile.

When someone tries to register on this forum. I get an email with the following:

The account owned by "cheertumbler11" has been deactivated or newly created, you should check the details of this user (if required) and activate it using the following link:
(a link to activate)

**BUT HOW DO I CHECK THIS PERSONS DETAILS BEFORE I CHOOSE WHETHER TO ACTIVATE??**

ACP -> Users & Groups -> Inactive Users -> Do anything you like from here.
