Create a shop for advertising with points

I would like to make a point and donating system for reserving space for people who can buy their space. Example 500 points for 3 days but by donating they can increase the number of days on the forum. Is this possible?

your saying you want to charge people for being on your forum.

there are ways to make money on your forums.. but charging members for access is probably not the best way.

@Kirk I think Haz is trying to say that he's selling advertising spots for some amount of forum currency. Buy different packages each at a longer duration on much time they have their advertising spot on his forum.

Yeah this is possible but you got to manually make the shop and manually remove the points from the user.

and keep track of all the records etc..

i would just create a forum for you the admin to where each person that buys space. you have all there info in a post with there name and change everything accordingly..

of course i do not know exactly what it is you are doing but you want to be sure to keep up on all records and have have copies as back as well.

Yes exactly Kirk. I know there the points system is very fimilar as when you have enough points the user can can buy something but I would like to involve a system for those users who have the funds that dont mind spending money on a space that I have have and also for users that have enough points. The points thing I can understand manually but if I can set something up like for example 1 week = $5 2 weeks = $10 and for the points I can do the same but like 300 points = 3 days 1000 points = 10 days. I think 2 systems are good because it makes it fair for people who dont wish to purchase anything and only advertise their forums and such but the donating people can do what they want according to the donations.

How do I make the space as explained about please kirk like maybe a space 200 x 300 how do I set this up?
I found a paypal link code via search do I add this to the bottom of the page for donations made by the user?
