Forum to be shut in 8 days ?

Hi could someone help me please, I have just checked out the admin settings on my forum and there was an alert with a count down saying to remove some of the forums contents or the forum will be shut down there is 8 days ...

I cant Pm any of the moderaters or admins so i have made the post , Any thing that needs removing i will do so asap as it is just a place for some old friends to hang out ..

Read the ToS to see what you need to remove.

Ive read them im just not sure where to start and what to save as much of the forum as possible ..

Is there a mod/admin that could go on a take off any thing that thats not part forum rules .. I only paid for the new site name a few days back and put a lot of work into it

No one here can remove the illegal content. You or your friends put it in your forum so you should be able to remove it.

I dont know whats illegal and whats not there is some dj mixes on a mp3 player from raves in the early 90,s i didnt think it would bother any one as it is all underground white lable unreleased stuff

Before i delete the site is there a way to back up the forum or zip it into a file for another location ... Or if you show us whats cool so we dont have to close are forum

Delete the mp3 stuff, anything to do with movie and video.

Well at least you have gotten a warning with 8 days to remove content.
so that means they are probably just minor violations.. but they are still violations and formation litigation's decided to give you a warning/chance and to remove the content to avoid your forum being shut down.

It's not often that forumotion notify people and give them this warning for they are not obligated too.

so i would just go through and delete any post that my be offensive or have to do with file sharing. it sounds more of violations dude to copyrights then anything else.. if it was something real offencive or inappropriate they would not have gave you a warning
( depending on litigation's decision)


You may want to close the forum and put it in construction mode for only staff to log-in so you can clean the board up and create new rules for all your members to see when you re-open it.. but yeah it's your forum and you and your staff to maintain and moderate it.. you should remove any post you think that may be in violation when they are first posted and be sure to issue warnings and or bans on members that are breaking your rules and forumotions TOS.

You can also try contacting forumotion litigation by doing a report your self.
Explain that it is your forum and you have received the warning to remove content in violations within 8 days but you are unsure exactly what they violations are and if they can tell you what the complaint was about.

Other then that just start deleting everthing you feel might be in violation of forumotions TOS.
