Text Editor
I'm facing a lot of problems with our pbpBB text editor. When I try to post any topic, I used to made the topic more attractive for viewing by using colors, sizes and all. The problem with our text editor is when I select one word from the topic and I color it to some blue, then I want to set size to some 10. The cursor is moving to the end of the word I selected and it is coming to the top line.
This problem is not there with vBulletin and ipb forums. When I write the topic in vBulletin editor and copy and paste it in our forum, those BB code is not accepted by our phpBB forum.
EX: [color:8208="red"] Loverboy in vBulletin
[color:8208=red] Loverboy in phpBB.
In phpBB those [color="red"] is not accepting.
Is there any thing I need to do to make our phpBB editor to work same as vBulletin text editor. Please help me thanks in advance.

The default bbcode is enabled. By the way, how to check, whether bbcode is enabled or disabled in my forum?

Have u tried using vBulleting text editor? Here text editor means, when we try to post a new topic, a window will open to write the text, that is the text editor I'm talking about. Hope u understand the problem.
U just try to change the size, color,...etc of a word from u'r topic by selecting it only one time.
Then u'll get my point stated in the first post of this topic.

Re: Text Editor
I am a member of many vBulletin forums, and know what text editor you are referring to...
WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor with this icon:
Where it has the format tools that are used when using a computer word editor like Microsoft Word or something alike.
Is that what you are referring to?

Yes u r right, I'm not critisizing u, just I'm telling more clearly. Now tell me, why there is full difference is there between pbpBB editor and vBulletion editor? For example, u just write some text in vBulletion and add some colors, text sizes and copy those text and paste in phpBB editor and see the preview, u'll understand my problem. Can't we make phpBB editor to work as same as the vBulletin editor?

Ok, I'm doing the same thing, typing text in vBulletion editor and removing quotes and posting in our phpBB forum. In vBulletin, we can add color, size, font, bold, etc at same time i.e, by selection the text only one time. But in phpBB editor, we have to select the text each and every time.i.e., if we want to add color we have to select and add color, next when we want to put size, we have to select the same text again bcaz the cursor will move to the end of the code. But in vBulletin the cursor won't move until we select other text. Is there any thing we have to do, to work our editor as a vBulletin editor.
