How Secure are Forumotion Forums?

Hi,
I want to ask you how secure are forums? I have some friends which lost their forums from crackers which they changed forum owner. Is that possible? My friends use the instructions that you give for more security and they lost their forums. Please increase forums security.

Yes I was read these topics and my friends do these thinks but their forum was stealed by crackers.

Don't worry forumotion is one of the safest forum hosters i know, if you follow what they say in the links master marc posted and use your common sense you'll be fine

Well you know it's as safe as any other site you may have an account on.
facebook,myspace,youtube etc...

Real hackers can crack/hack just about anything if they really wanted to.
I mean if you have people hacking into government computers or getting close to do it then nothing is ever a 100% secure.

But i can tell you from as long as i have been doing forum stuff and have been doing support.. 90% of the time when someones forum (supposedly) gets hacked is due to negligence from the owner of the forum or other staff's

Meaning people share passwords.. this is a big no no.. and sure there are times when real hackers can get in but the majority of the time it's because it's from irresponsible Owners or staff sharing information to others that should not be shared.

but there's probably a million different ways things can be done.
And keep in mind a real hacker would not wast there time to hack someones forum unless they realy have a grudge or are just board out of there mind and have nothing better to do.

So never share your pass or any personal information, never let anyone go into your computer by remote, and have long complicated pass as possible but something that you will remember.

also never leave information for accounts in you activations emails for any account.. copy all accounts info and place in to a pass protect note pad on your computer.. never leave any information in your emails.

And even if you have close personal friends.. you should not share your pass or give full owner/admin access to anyone ever.. because people get bitter with each other then go in and sabotage others forum.

Your forums security is no different then the security on this forum.
