online status

i have setup some groups for two different types of users but it does not show when they are online so other users can see when they are online

any ideas why this is?

What do you mean? Do you have the Who's Online activated?

Wait, can you explain us what is going on? There are many problems and I can think two of them:

1. Legend Group doesn't appear
2. The person profile doesn't show rank

what it is when the users are online it shows there name and avatar in the profile box on the right hand side of the screen and it did show there online status when logged in.

Do you have an online icon?

Display // Pic Management // Simple // Post & Topics // Look for Online and see if there is an icon.

yes i do have an online icon.

here is what the problem is just to clarify.

on the right hand side you have got the username,avatar,post count and a few other bits.it did also show the online/offline status of each member but it does not show it anymore.why?

It should not matter if the group is hidden or not.. because the online icon has nothing to do with any group it just shows that a person is online.

so i would go check and make sure you online icon is not hidden in pic's management or re-up it again.

Now as far as showing who is online for the group of course since you have the group hidden any members online will not appear as being in a hidden group, but will still show them online as a member in the who's online list in the forums who's online section of the forums index.

oh my bad i forgot about the hide your online status option... lol silly me.

what mrmario is saying is do you or the members have the option selected to hide their online status in the user profile preferences?
