Solved Loss of Admin control

Post by AFemale September 25th 2010, 1:48 pm

Hi
My site jointly run by my brother, seems to have been taken over by someone or something. Both our admin usernames have been merged into one and we cannot get access to the forum. We both registered again yesterday as normal users using different names and both registrations, the confirmation emails are coming to my email address which i used as admin???
my site address is http://squadron-lines.aforumfree.com/index.htm
We have had no trouble before for three years now. When my brother tried to log in, he was told he was banned. When i tried to log in it said incorrect username/password. This has only happened in the last couple of days. Neither of us live in the same country, and neither has given out passwords etc.
Please help, we want our board back as lots of work has gone into it.

We haven't lost or forgotten passwords. Someone or something has merged both our admin usersnames into one name. ie. It should say : Admin who is one person and AFemale who is one person. The board now says that Admin/AFemale is one person. if this makes sense. Neither of us can get in using are individual names as above. Passwords won't work as its saying individual username does not exist.

AFemale think about it, he just change the username. He didn't actually merge your accounts.

As we know they are not working, you need to PM MrMario with the details, so that he can reset the password for you. It will come to your mail address. Then you can do the necessary changes.

Okays, so that should be it. He needs to PM the founder details.

Well, i am not really sure if it could be a hacker. It could be just your brother playing up.
Or it could be someone who got into your brother's account & playing mischief, but do not worry it will be sorted. Relax up until your brother does whats required. Smile
