[youtube] Code not working [DONE]

My apologies for posting this under the 'other' category, but I cannot post in the 'Support > Support' or the 'Support > Need Technician' forums.

I've been using the

Code:

 [youtube] 'url' [/youtube]

code and it is now not working. I already have a few AMVs posted, so I know it is supposed to work, but now the only thing that shows up are the youtube codes with the entire url of the vid in-between.

Is this a temporary glitch that is occurring? Or am I in need of a technician?

It happens to me too - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's weird.

Sometimes it works if you just use the clip's code (the letters at the end of the URL) between the tags.

Sometimes it works if you put the whole URL between the tags.

Sometimes if works if you put the entire embed code between the tags.

And sometimes it doesn't work at all.

Yep.. That's exactly what I've been experiencing. I tried all three of those ways, and also just embedding the code without using the youtube code (as this worked prior to obtaining the new youtube code), and still.. nothing. Sorry to know that you are having the same problem, but at least now it is clear that it's not due to a single forum, but a technical issue overall.

So I don't really understand the issue

Try not using "quick reply" and post by the normal way, and see if any of those options are checked:

And are you putting the embed code or the URL?

Hmm.. I'm using the url, which works with most of the AMVs that I have posted. But for some reason it's not working with this particular one. Thanks for posting that AMV, Reddo.

Typlo, my settings show the same thing as you posted. I've tried posting via the normal way and the html way, yet it still won't work. Since neither you nor Reddo had any problems, it must just be my AMV.

I tried posting the url with the youtube code again, and it still didn't work. I just posted the embed code, without the youtube code for like the 10th time, (removing the paramaters) and it works.

Cool. But what I did was put the embed code within the youtube code.

Lol.. I guess if one trick doesn't work, keep trying another. Eventually one will. It would be nice if one set way worked all the time, tho. Thanks again, Reddo.

I have been using Reddo's way of posting the YouTube videos to my site, and have not been having any problems. Simply posting the url between the tags, does not work for my site, but posting the embed code between the youtube tags does.
