View Newest Post Icon

Some of my members are complaining that the "view newest post" icon does not take them to the newest post, but rather to the first page or the top of the page.

Any ideas on this?

what the icon that shows for new post?
can you provide a screen shot so i can be sure what you mean.

It sounds like you have the forum set up to show the fist topic in the thread first?

if so then you will have to change that in your forum settings.

Acp>General>Forums.

Select the forum then click on modify.
Then for (Sort the post of a topic by) post date most recent in first.

Or you can choose what you want for (sort topics by) as well there are a few different settings for (sort topics by) so you may have to test it for what you like best.

So hopefully this is what you mean.. if not please post a screen of what icon you mean so i can be sure.

Here's what I'm talking about:



That link is taking me now to the first post of the first page as opposed to the usual last post of the last page (and when I say that link, I mean all of them on the homepage, not just that one in particular) and it's happening to other members as well. I've just told them to hang tight for now (and clearing the cache didn't help)
