Private message problem

When I send MP/PM (private message), I receive that the message is send,
but is not in my property folder (Sent box),
message is in folder for send (Outbox) .
Why ?

Private Messaging is Enabled in options.

it doesnt go into your sent box until it has been opened by the recipitent. Its handy actually because then you know your message has been read.

Actually, that doesn't seem to be the case. I have sent many messages that appear immediately in my sent folder, when i know for a fact they have not been opened by the recipient.
