Exporting memeber's email address Empty Exporting memeber's email address

Post by joelj1964 October 31st 2010, 2:47 pm

When I purchased my domain name from ForumMotion I received 10 email accounts. I would like to use one or more of those accounts to email newsletters to my members. Is it possible to export all my members' email addresses at once? My reason for wanting this ability is multi-fold, but primarily is that many members are claiming they are not receiving the newsletter. Of course I have asked them to ensure they check their spam folders. Still nothing.. Thanks in advance.

General>Messages and Emails>Emails and Contact form
Admin Email Address : Add that email address.
Save.

Then when you make the newsletter, you will have that option to select this email address.

Thanks for the reply. I did make the changes. Although the email will be sent by the desired email address now, I am still required to use the forum text box to enter the text of the email. I was having problems getting the text box to format the html the same way it had been designed by my html editor. It would appear correct when I clicked on preview but, when I clicked to go "Back to the edit window" it would not save the correct format. Hope this makes sense. Thanks again.

Well, probably what you are saying is right.
But, i won't bother if i can't make it the way its showed in whatever html editor you are using.

Anyways, does a email thing have a good html editor ? I guess not.

The email html does work correctly which is why I wanted to import the forums contacts. My forum, while not very large, does have nearly 600 members making it virtually impossible toI have tried several different html editors all with the same result. If, however, you have any suggestions on other editors I will be more than happy to try them. The newsletter is a very important part of my forum and I would really like to get some form of resolution. It's primary purpose is to increase the bounce rate since, as I am sure you are aware, most potential advertisers will look at this data prior to placing an ad.

Thank you so much for all your help thus far.

Sincerely,
Joel

I am lost, you cannot send it through your email system. You need to use the newsletter feature to send it to all. So you can use the default html editor.

Yes correct. Which brings me to the purpose of the original question regarding the ability, or lack thereof, to import the email addresses of my forum's members which you said was not possible.

Well since you were discussing the issue of newsletter, i suggested so.

However, if you just want to get the email addresses exported its currently not possible.

Its also already suggested.

Edit: Thread Garbaged, since you posted your views in the other one.
