Edit navigation buttons Empty Edit navigation buttons

Post by edouard_gc Fri Oct 26 2007, 18:40

I tried searching but can't find the answer to this problem I hope someone can help.

Problem is using the default icons and buttons on the navigation bar i wanted to edit the text in it:

Portal change to Home
Home change to Forum

I have tried this solution:

Made a new button with link and name changed but i needed to remove the other 2 buttons that was supposed to be replaced then I followed one of Katts post on how to remove nav buttons by changing the icons to this https://2img.net/i/empty.gif the icon was removed but the text is still there. Any solution to this?

Help will be greatly appreciated.

Attached here is the link of my nav bar if you can see I made the new Home and Forum button but cant remove the last 2 buttons on the nav bar which is Home and Portal.

To delete the text of headers, admin panel > general > headers > "Display only images in the link bar" > check "yes" Wink

oh ok,
but unfortunately you can't specifically choose which text to hide, it's all or nothing.

You can't remove, say, just the gallery link?

No sorry but you can hide it via admin panel => styles => list pictures => tick the box.

Its because you have it set to writing without icon you could just disable the gallery?

well yes, i'm trying to do that, but don't want the link to appear either, so no one will click it. i don't have the storage space for everyone, so until i do, i don't want it to be there...maybe you mean just change the display to icon only, and then the text link won't appear? that would work, except not everyone knows what the link icons stand for, especially if they are new members....so....creates a small problem.
