People who use internet explorer Can't view the forum

Well the problem is people using internet explorer don't view our forum properly. The problem comes from the Facebook like button we added to our homepage. Because when we took it off for testing , it worked fine. But i hope that isn't the only solution we have to it .

Also when using internet explorer you can't scroll down when the gray box appears. IF you do it scrolls back up. Making it near impossible to view anything else. The biggest concern is removing the gray box. And getting it to work properly.

It's not viewing the forum as much as they can't move away from the giant gray box. It dosen't let them do anything but stare at it.

hmm.... i can view your forum i think the screen of the pc of the user is not pretty big.... or this Administrator Panel>>General>>Configuration>>Scroll Down>>DO YOU SEE (FORUM WIDTH) CHANGE IT... LEAVE IT BLANK...

OR TRY CTRL AND SCROLL MOUSE DOWN FOR HIGH SCREEN....

Perhaps you have some css3 on your forum which IE8 doesn't support. Are they using IE8? Have they tried clearing their cache?

Idk about clearing their cache but i will try it out. Funny thing is , it is only when the like button is their. My friends who visit it , use IE8 and they had to swicth to firefox or chrome to see it and use it . But i will try it . Thanks in advance if it works.

I agree with PC screen settings, but your forum may implement any code that IE doesn't support.

Try other types browser like Google Chrome and tell me whats the result.

Google Chrome , and Firefox can use the forum and have no problem with it. It's only IE8 that seems to have problem with it.

ohh yeah i know IE has problems on Win 7 or XP i try win the screen of IE8 had problems...

Well right now i am at school on windows 7 with IE8 and see your forum fine? when i get home i can see what it dose on vista and i can also test it from here with xp on another computer here.

Be sure to tell everyone that their browsers are up to date along with the computer being updated as well.. But other then that IE is such a pain with certain coding at times.. it always seems things that work on all other browser sometimes seem not to work on IE. So all they can really do is make sure everything is updated and if thats not working then they will have to go with a browser that dose work.

One of computer my professors realized that your screen shot is also a HP the same as this one that i am on. So he said it's not the browse it how the computer settings are set.. so i would check all the settings.. of course thats all he said and skipped out of the lab real fast... lol they know better stick around in the lab because us students with bug them with zillions of questions.. besides they make us figure most out for our self's anyway..

Yeah, i use firefox IE is the worst. But my friends sue other computers and they have the same problem. So Someone said with clearing the Cache how do you do that ?
