Problem with "New Post" exclamation

Good morning.

The problem is simple/ When I enter forum I can see sub-forums that have exclamation considering new posts. When I enter the sub-forum to see those new posts, they're there but the exclamation mark that shows it's on doesn't appear.

I never changed anything considering those buttons, it's a pre-made skin...They look like this

Lastly, I'm not the only one seeing this problem. It started two days ago. The only thing that I've changed in Admin Panel was "Activate ads" and it's been a minute ago So, I didn't touch anything.

Hopefully it will go away by itself, but I wonder what could be the problem? One minute it's there, the other - it's gone even before I actually see the post.

It was all good two days ago. New posts stay like this , they don't change into the moment I enter sub-forum...

Could you at least show me a screenshot of this problem or a link? I am having problems understanding.

Well, the problem occurs once in a while. It's quite simple. Sometimes there's a flashing light that there's a New Post and it remains like that. Sometimes there's no flashing light even if they were flashing on the index page.

So, basically, I can see that people have posted new posts but only on the index page, not in the sub-forums. This occurred for me as well as for my moderator group. For users - I'm not sure.

Currently, everybody are sleeping so I'll try to make some screenshots tomorrow.

As you may see, as well as the others, there's a problem with sub-forum group recognizing that there's a certain "New Post" exclamation. Both were taken today with three hours gap.

I'm just wondering what could be the possible cause of this and why does it happens often. Sometimes it does happen, sometimes it doesn't as seen in the provided images.

I must say that I didn't follow the quick link to the last post button, I just entered into sub-forum.



I'm using Google Chrome, my computer and OS are up to date, my admin panel had only minor change considering recent ads problem and thus far - everything work perfectly, beside this thing that appeared couple of days ago.

There must be another topic thats not read. This would the only thing this is showing.

My apologies for further inconvenience on this topic. Also, even if that would be the problem, how am I supposed to fix it. Also, if what you're saying is correct - than how come it was never there for the whole year of the existence of miuzchi[.]forumotion[.]com?

There must be another topic that you didn't read. This will cause the icon to light up. Try checking that and see.

I assure you that there's no topic that I didn't read a.k.a saw during my presence on forum :]

Beside that, the problem is that the icon is lit on index page and is off as soon as I enter sub-forum, as if i already read it. It doesn't appear as a fresh topic anymore by mere entering into sub-forum. That's very odd.

But, I'll do your advice and read all of the topics again (enter them, actually).

If the problem continues I'll let you know in this topic.

I can't view the icons lighting up because I don't have an account. Did you happen to out the icon in the wrong place in the pic management? Maybe you placed the non lighting one as new post and the light up one for new post.

No, I can assure you of that too.

I'm pretty sure that It has nothing to do with admin control panel. Like I wrote earlier - there was a slight change in the work at admin panel options - only "Activate ads for guests" option.

I went throughout forum ( been doing that for the past hour ), hopefully tomorrow problem will disappear. If not, I'm still looking for help here. Thanks for trying, thou.

Ok, I'm back. During this day I figured out that regardless of how many new posts there're - when I view the forum for the first time and after clicking on any sub-forum it's like I clicked onto "mark=forums" url thing.

During my presence and if by any chance someone writes something new - it remains new regardless of post or sub-forum. I can see that exclamation button is lit.

So, problem occurred each time when I log in for the first time of the day. Each time is the same as if I would click onto mark=forums button to make them appear as already seen by me...

Edit : Also, I noticed that after I write a message and log out - upon my return (I log in back) I can see exclamation mark lit even thou it's my post. That was never like that before. I resynchronized forum couple of times, yet problem remains. It's a problem because it's annoying.

The problem still persists. It happens only during first Log In attempt. Whenever I enter [messages, FAQ, Portal, subject, sub-forum] I LOSE ALL notifications considering NEW POSTS.

Like I said earlier it's like whenever I enter forum for the first time of a day, no matter where I click to enter - I lose notifications.

I seriously need help regarding this since nearly all of my members are having the same problem as I am.
