Solved Problems with illiweb.com

Post by ClaraZ25 May 20th 2009, 12:41 pm

Since yesterday afternoon myself and at least 2 other members have noticed that it is becoming harder to load any section of our site, www.kinzisland.com. I believe it has to do with all the images from illiweb.com (the default images). Eventually when the page loads none of the illiweb images have loaded. I am wondering if just our site is having these difficulties or whether other sites are experiencing similar troubles with illiweb.com. If anyone could be of any assistance it would be greatly appreciated.

I noticed the same thing last evening. This happens from time to time - usually righting itself fairly quick. (I don't have the problem this morning:-)

Solved Re: Problems with illiweb.com

First time we've had this bug at www.southcoastcougars.com

Really long load times as a result because illiweb.com has had a bit of a boo-boo. Even trying to load the individual images in a new browser tab doesn't work.

Loads of little red "x's" and "?" all over the site...fail.

Solved Re: Problems with illiweb.com

Post by kirk January 25th 2010, 12:36 am

why is this being discussed here?
for one thing i dont even know what it is?

Can some one please explain what it is and what it has to do with forumotion.

if not then illiweb would have to contact for any problems people might be having.Once again forumotion support is for forumotion related problems or questions only.

Thank you

It's because many of the default images for the forum are located on illiweb.

I didn't know what illiweb was or even heard of it until now. My forum is running slow and I see it says "read illiweb.com". I did a search on illiweb and got sent right here. lol Forum has been slow for a couple of days now.

Illiwebs is a service Forumotion uses for images. Have you tried clearing your cache? https://help.forumotion.com/frequently-asked-questions-f5/how-to-clear-the-cache-in-ff-ie-t22597.htm

same as my problem too sometimes i experience that. its so very hard to load because of illiweb. sometimes it takes 3 minutes to load the page.. thats is only for front page. not including when you open again another thread...

but sir mario even we do that thing. but how about the other members who experience that? coz sometimes my member PM me that their also experience that problem.. how can we explain to them one by one what really happens? ofcourse we can do such clear cache, but how about the others who has no knowledge on that? well not all of my members experience that coz sometimes when i experience that i PM my co admin on yahoo messenger and he lives on a different country and i tell him if he experience what i experience on that day but he answer no.. but how about my other member? much better if we can solve the problem by knowing what really happens wihtout bothering our members in our forum..

I've tried clearing my cache, and it still doesn't work. Is there a way of contacting Illiweb? I went to their website and it's all in French, and when I found an English version, it was all about the Apache server. I'm happy to link all my pics to my Picassa account, and bypass Illiweb altogether if need be.

There are reports of slow service elsewhere on forumotion but I found this via Google because it is illiweb that is taking a long time to load, therefore causing this slowness.

Same problem here. Problems with illiweb, hopefully the techs have their mobiles on! I read (on the Spanish Support forum) they get notified when stuff like this happens, on their cellphones. It's noon on France (where they live) so hopefully it will be back soon...
