chat room scrolling problem

everytime a new message is posted in the chatbox, the view would always be halfway before the new messages. thus, to actually see the newly written chats, you would always have to constantly scroll down. i have found a temporary solution to rid me and my users of this annoyance by simply clearing the room from time to time. but, is there a script or a way of actually solving this? it would also be nice if the newer messages are posted at the top of the page, not at the bottom. if this could be done, how so? thank you and any kind of help will truly be appreciated.

That happens to me as well, mostly when someone posts an image/smiley. Me or someone writes a new message and, instead of being taken to the bottom of the screen, I'm taken to that image.

This happens with chatboxes added via iFrames and fullsize ones (forum.com/chatbox).

Can someone report this to a tech or something, please?

i dunno guys, we havent recieved any helpful replies yet. anyways, i'll up this just in case. hopefully someone offers possible solutions.
