The gap between the links bar and the homepage message

The Navigation bar and the homepage message title are too close together for my liking. Is it possible increase the space between them?

yes if you go into your admin panel>>>general>>>>homepage then right at the start of the box, enter this

its a line break and should work. you can add as many or as few as you want

Thanks. I tried that and it increases the height the heading, which is unattractive. I really prefer to shift the heading down. I think that would necessitate editing the HTML code of the forum. Does anyone know how that is done?
