Solved unjust harassment

Post by Autumn01 January 14th 2011, 8:56 am

Hi,
I am new to posting on this forum, but I run a new paranormal/ spiritual site here, and I am hoping someone can give me some help concerning a matter that has been happening to my forum for the last month or so.

Today my forum was given an abuse warning that was not true.
My forum has been having issues with another paranormal/spiritual site, and I suspect it was one of them, but i cant prove it. They have issues with me having a paranormal forum, too.

They have wrongly accusied me of spamming them, sending them emails threatening them with a virus, and they also accused me of giving them an abuse warning.

I have done none of those things to this other site, but they dont believe me, and they have ill will towards me, my forum, and staff because i started a forum.

I have been harassed, and threatened by them saying they will delete/hack my forum for things i have not done.

They have even registered at my forum under false pretenses but i realized it was them and banned them.

These issues have been going on for a while now with them, and i have just ignored it up until now.

But it concerns me because this is becoming an ongoing thing, and I just want it to stop.

Is there anything I can do that will make this unjust harassment stop?
I dont want to lose my forum over things i have not done.

My staff, members, and myself have all worked too hard on my forum to have someone come along and hack it, or delete it for no reason other than jealousy.

Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you. Very Happy

If you are getting abuse reports. They are just sent to the admin, its upto you whether to take action or not.

Hi Sanket,
Thank you for your reply. Very Happy
While the unjust abuse report of my forum worries me, that is only one of my worries.
The constant threats and harassment from this other site saying they will hack into my forum, and have my forum deleted is what really concerns me.

Is there anything else other than the security measures i followed in the admin. control panel that i can do to safeguard my forum? These people are being very malicious and with no reason.

My staff , members, and myself, have worked very hard on our forum, and we dont want to lose it because this other site hacks into it, and deletes it.
Is there anything else we can do to prevent that?
Or hopefully have this other site just leave us alone?

Thank you again for any help you can give me.
