slogan copying

Hi, I have a small worry about my forums slogan. My slogan is 'a community of friends, fun, and news' There is another forum that is also based on the same topic my forum is and there slogan is 'friends.news.fun.' I know that they have had theres longer than mine but when I explained the situation they said they would report my forum. I am just wondering what would happen? It would be really hard to change my forums slogan since we have lots of banners ect for the future that all feature our slogan. They are not the exact same idk what the worry is over.

Copyright does not protect names, titles, slogans, or short phrases.

Slogans are not copyrighted. If he has a problem just show him the government link.

But if your intentions were to take that slogan purposely from them and mix it around, then you would have to decide what to do.

Ok thanks for your help No not at all. Me and my Admin were thinking of a slogan and I came up with it. I was reminded a week or two ago that another forum has it but we had already made banners and stuff with our slogan on. So, its ok? My forum will not get deleted or anything?

Thanks for the assurance mate phew..I am glad about that lol Me and my graphic team have made lots of banners with our slogan on, it would mean allot of hard work to change them lol
