I was wondering if anyone knew how to get my cateogries to show up, my site is

Go to general > hierarchy > in "Split categories on index", check "none" and save!

Well , that is acctully can't , because you are using the Phbbp Version 3 , so there would be no categories. Just show up the forum.

To solve your problem:
Admin Panel => General => Homepage => Hierachy
=> Split Categories on Index => Which ever option you'd like Smile
