There is no specific time.
He works on weekdays. If he does not answer to you within 3 days since the day you sent him a PM. Resend a PM again.

Ive been trying to get my domain transferred since june

Pm him again, please be patient(every 48 hours)... he does alot of works on most of the support forums, he works on a 2 or more than support forums everyday, receiving complaints, requests etc. most of the time.

ok i finally got the email with the "Authorization Code"

it has a bunch of numbers/letters/symbols

what exactly do i do with that?

Give it to wherever you are transferring your domain name. GoDaddy?
