Scrolling Text In A Different Direction?

Alright, so I'm in the process of adding a news widget to my site and I am wanting to use scrolling text. Similar to the style that it does for the recent topics widget. However, I see that when you do the scrolling code, it only does it left to right. Is there a way to make it go up and down, like the forum recent topics widget that can be added in the portal? Any help would be greatly and immensely appreciated.

I followed the tutorial on forumotion and I got the marquee in but, can't get the right direction. Does this tutorial show how?

It's not a tutorial it will generate the code for you just follow the steps how you want the marquee to travel, size, font, etc... & it will make the code for you.
Or post the code you have here & I should be able to change the direction for you.
If the script code you have looks like this:

<marquee direction="left"

Change it to

<marquee direction="up"

Or down which ever way you want it to travel.
