Steam Contact List function

To be added to the contact list, which already contains xFire, MSN, Yahoo, Skype, AIM, etc.

It was suggested on my site, and I wish to have the ability to link the field off-site like the others are able to.

Another think that could be listed would be Vent.

Contact Fields tab
Then click on the
Fill in the details then.

I am well aware on how to do that. That isn't what I am getting at.

On said list, when you go in to create your own, you can select what type of field to make it.
Said fields can link you off-site.

For example, if you create a field, and change it from default (phone number, apparently), you can change it to web URL, xFire, MSN, AIM, Yahoo, etc.
I am suggesting adding Steam to that dropdown list.
The dropdown list assigns the ability to link it directly off-site to a specific source that is the same for every member.

Whats the requirement for it, when you can still achieve it??

Yes. I already stated I know how to perform that function.
The concern is, do you know the dropdown list that allows you to select what type of field it is in the settings for the new contact field? I suggest we add steam to that list, so we can link it directly off-site, rather than having to use a web address, so everyone links to the same general area.

Yes, but if you look at it that way, so is MSN, Yahoo, xFire, Meebo, etc. Get where I am coming from?

Well can you enlighten me on an example of steam contact? Because, msn yahoo are email addresses. Which is different than a url.

Steam is a URL, and you are correct, MSN and Yahoo are email addresses. I got that wrong, however, xFire, though a messenger service, is a URL as well, so I see no reason Steam can not be a direct link, even though it is a URL, just like xFire.

Choose webaddress in that field which you were asking for.
