Tools to make a better site around the forum.

Well, i am trying to make a site around the forum. With reviews, articles and things like that. With all the tools we have right now it is kind of difficult. But i have come up with a way. I am using the news module as a blog feature. You can see it on the fronpage: [b][color=mediumvioletred]Edit Skittles ~ remove link[/color][/b]

But as i said, i would like to get more features to make a site around the forum. I don´t really know how to do this. But for me personally, i think multiple "news modules" would make it easier. If you just makes it possible for the "news modules" to load their post from several different forum (One module loads from a Review forum, and one loads from a Article forum. Both hidden, of course). And if i could use these modules in the HTML page. It would be great.

I hope you know what i am suggesting. Pretty hard to explain.
