Registering problem
Hi fellas,
I've received a message from a friend describing a problem he has registering, as per below....
"I'm being driven mad here.I've tried at least 10 tiimes to register and every time it tells me that "confirmation code is incorrect",even though it patently isn't-i've checked very thoroughly before clicking and they are definitely being entered correctly."
Any chance of some help please?
Many thanks

Re: Registering problem
Hi, have you tried registering a test account and seeing this for yourself? If it helps, you can also disable the CAPTCHA temporarily to let your friend register.
Re: Registering problem
I'm impressed with the response, thanks!
OK, I've created a new forum, brand new. So far we have 15 members I think, and all have registered without a problem so I'm guessing the problem is with the guy trying to register?
To be honest I'm totally green with this sort of thing but I'm learning, all be it rather slowly!

Re: Registering problem
You're welcome.
Well, it could most likely be his side. If he is completely sure that he isn't making a mistake in typing the confirmation code then what I suggest to you is to disable the confirmation code for him by going to:
1. Administration Panel (advanced mode)
2. Users & Groups Tab
3. Users options (on the left, under Users)
4. Select "Confirmation code : No"
And then, once he has successfully registered, you can re-enable it again.

Great, thanks very much and I'll give that a bash.
Not sure if it makes a difference but he's using the AOL browser?
