Do you think the Social Group Feature should be added?

Social Groups Empty Social Groups

Post by Kilzo Wed 1 Jun - 0:00

Hi everyone.

I have a suggestion for forummotion which are called Social groups.

Basically Social Groups are groups that members can form and invite other members to discuss things that they wish to discuss. V-bulletin uses this feature and I think it is very good and can make people more eager to visit their favorite forum sites in that they can be in a group with other people who are similar to each other and who favor what the group does or the purpose of it arising in the first place.

Now I'm not suggesting that these groups be able to hold a 100+ people or anything. I personally think that 10 members per group is a good amount. 20 being the absolute max. Member should be able to start discussions in the social group similar to the admin of a site setting up Categories and Forums. The Member who started the Social group however should have the ability to invite other members, make the social group public or private, and be able to kick any member from out of the group.

I think this could be a really great addition to the forums and I hope you consider adding it as a feature for the admins that use your awesome forums to use Mr. Green

I vote No. By adding such social groups, the whole feel of a forum is lost. There are many other sites to socialize.
