changing redirect when giving rep

Sorry, I know im always asking for help and not giving much, im new to the whole admin side of things!

Anyways, so when a member give another a rep point for a post, it sends them to a different page saying that their vote has been cast (or something similar) then gives them the option to either go back to the thread or to the main forum.

This is quite annoying, and I think it may be putting members off handing out rep.

Is there a way that the vote can be cast and a little pop up box or something comes up instead of redirecting you to a seperate page?

I don't think there is really a way to do that without using excessive JQuery.

JQuery is a coding language that is like javascript. That's pretty much the only way to make it pop up
