Unwanted Advertising somehow embedded on my forum page

Hello,

I've just recently made a forum and had it open last night as I was getting used to creating categories and stuff (I'm a bit of technophobe I warn you ), when this envelope appeared (I kid you not) to say I had a private message. Now thinking someone was actually sending me a private message I opened it ... but it was for a download I did not recognise so I just came out of the tab. But ever since then, this advertising is on my forum (please see below).

I obviously don't want it there as it spoils the look of the site and causes attention if, for instance, people want to have a look whilst at work.

Could you please advise what I might need to do to get rid of it?? Thanks in advance.
