How to pass my forum to someone else

I have been the founder of a team forum, which has a lot of members, i have now left this team so want to hand the forum over to someone else and remove my details fully...how is this done?

Hello,

Founders of the forum are not possible to be deleted or removed. You could not remove your details unless you can do it manually (delete all your posts, and editing information in your account). It would only be possible to change the founder if the founder left the forum six months ago.

Ok, so would it be easier to just delete it then and tell my ex team mates to start again as i dont want nothing to do with it

Best thing is to delete any personal info and handle over your account and to the founder tools. You would need to make sure you tell them to remove your email in the forum and the founder tools.

I would think you could just replace your site registration email with one of Speedy's choice and use a temporary password which he could change later. After handing control to him and while you are still an admin you should be able to delete your own account I would think.

You can also remove your information and update it with the new owner.
like change the email,password account name etc.

Exactly. You just have to talk to your new trusted founder and follow what MrMario advised.
