Headadmin + deleting topics
Hello,
At this moment I am a admin of two forums. At each of these two forums I am NOT the headadmin.
1. Could it be possible that the headadmin makes me groupmoderator of the admin group? That's because I took the forum over, but can't be the groupmoderator of the admin group.
2. I just saw that a member with moderator abilities deleted a topic. I heard from someone that I can make a 'hidden archive' to store these deleted topics. Is that true? And is that the same for posts?
Greetings,
Colonel

You can simply go to
AP>>User & GROUPS>> GROUP ADMINISTRATION>>modify, the admin group.
were it says group moderator. change it. put your name

you only can be member of admin group , you can't be a group moderator. ( i am talking about one group with founder )...
NB : you can be group moderator at other group , maybe at moderator , staff , graphic designer or etc..

Okay. So it's NOT possible to change admingroup?
And then my second question, do you have an answer to this?

for the admin group that one group with founder you can't change, but the other group you can change the group moderator..
Re: Headadmin + deleting topics
The hidden archive I presume is just a hidden forum. If you would like one, just make a new forum and call it something like 'Archives' and then set its permissions accordingly. Please note that once topics are deleted, they are gone.

Yes, I know that topics that are deleted, are gone. That's why I want a place to store every deleted topic.
You suggest that I make a hidden forum, and the permissions is that once you delete something, it goes to this forum? Or am I wrong? Because I want that all the topics/posts will be transfered to a special archive.

Re: Headadmin + deleting topics
Create a hidden forum. Move (not delete) the topics/threads you want to it.
Re: Headadmin + deleting topics
That would be a simple option, but the problem is that I don't want to do this myself, but that the moderators need to be able to do this. Without they know they aren't deleting, but just putting it in another forum(so not transfering).

Re: Headadmin + deleting topics
if you delete something it's gone, there is no way to have it set as the content being stored elseware when a deletion takes place.
I have a board on all my forums called the dump. this is a board where all potential thread or post that would be deleted will go. I tell my staff never to delete anything and move anything to the designated board for our records.
So that's all you can do, is tell you mods not to delete anything unless absolutely necessary and to move all content to this board only staff have permissions to.
Keep in mind sometimes they may have to split the content from any given thread as well, So be sure you mods know how to use all of their moderation tools.
