Forum Deleted

This morning I recieved an email saying the forum I had created had been deleted because it had been inactive for a few months.

I don't see how it could be as I only set it up last Wednesday so it's only been a week.

I was in the process of getting the forum how I wanted it and getting a back up disc from my current forum provider before I launched the forum properly.

Why was it deleted after only 7 days?

I am also concerened that if I start a new forum then the same thing will happen again as sometimes no one does post for a few weeks.

Would appreciate answers to my queries.

Hello ^^

When a newly created forum is inactive the days after his creation, it is automatically deleted to avoid overloading the database with inactive forums (many people create forums and finally don't use them).

But I was going to use it. I was just in the process of getting it how I wanted it before launching it on my website

Now I am left with no forum at all.

I have a back up disc that I can't use and no forum.

Guess will have to start looking around for another host, one that gives time to set it up the way you want it.

What is the adress of your forum ? I can try to restore it but I'm not sure it will work Confused

There are actually two I own. One for each website I run and both were deleted.

Is there any point in me starting them again or will the same thing happen if they are not used within 7 days?

If they're not used for 7 days, they will be deleted. But there is a solution : create a private forum and post something regularly (you can delete it when your forum open) Wink

Hello

Send me a MP with the adress of your forum and the email used for the creation. I will make a backup. Try to post at least 2 times a week to avoid your new forum to be considered as inactive. Wink

Hello,

There are a problem when deleting your forum : the validation email you receive is empty. It will be solved today or tomorrow.

Solved -> Garbage
