i mean... if you are a visitor, not logged in, you can't put links to your forum-messages. And I want that visitors can send links.

Totally wrong Forumotion did disable visitor links but you CAN re-enable them!

you need to go to General > Settings

and Uncheck Prohibit registered members for less than a week to post external links and emails

this will allow links to work again.

you also need to go into your Categories and Forums go to Advanced Permissions and ensure Guests have the right to Create A New Topic.

It might work, you just have to test it.
I am not sure becuase visitors message is different then giving guest permissions on forums.

So i will try to test latter, or one of you guys can, just set everything like ElMuggs has above, log out and see if you can do it.

It should, otherwise Forumotion really need to deal with this issue to turn it back on or give a option, because we've set ours back to working and it looks like it's been disabled again!

Roleplay boards etc. like ours rely upon guests being able to advertise and vice versa. to do so they need to be able to link to the forums.

well guest should be able to post links or whatever in a forum that is open to guest.
But as far as leaving a message and or other content in a visitors message.
I do not see why that would happen without being a registered member, because if so any guest can spam any member.

Like i said all you have to do is log out and see if you are able to do it for another member, i have to may things open to try to test it, but it should not be a hard test at all, then if it dose not work for visitors messages, then looks like guest will just have to post on the board, that's how it should be anyway, you do not want guest to have the ability to post in members visitors messages.
