Is there any way to do a search query that lists all of today's posts only? I mean ALL of today's posts, not just a particular user's or under a particular search term.

Even if it's just some kind of a trick I can do with the search URL, that would be fine. I could just add a link to it for my visitors.

If you use adnvance search, there should be a drop down menu for certain time periods like one day.

Also there should be a link on the homepage that says List New Topics.

Yes, but if you choose the "1 day" option, and press "Search", it doesn't list any posts, because you didn't enter a search term.

I just want to list all of the last day's posts, without having to enter any search terms. I would guess there must be a way to do this, because it's a popular feature on other forum software. I know vBulletin has a link that says: "View all of today's posts".

Forumotion also has one. View posts since last visit.

Yes, I know about that one. But I don't want "since last visit", I want "all of today's posts", in other words all of the posts from the last 24 hours.

I would guess it would be possible, if we had the proper query.

With advanced search you have a column SEARCH OPTIONS => Search previous: 1 Day; Sort by: Post Time. It's similar. I think the certain what you want isn't exist.

Aha! I just found it!!

At the *bottom* of the forum there is a link that says "Today's Active Topics". That's close enough to what I was looking for. This is awesome!!
