Onyx theme can't see smiley categories[solved]

I am using the Onxy theme.

When trying to post a reply, you cannot see the View more Emoticons with the arrow to drop down to show the 5 different smiley catagories.

They ARE there, because I can see them if I highlight where they are supposed to be. Apparently it is showing up in a dark colored text that cannot be seen with the onxy dark background. Therefore, I need to change my color BUT I cannot figure out which text color or bar to change in the "Modify your Colors" tab.

Can someone help me?

And if you are using Onxy theme, were there any other sections that you had a simular problem with that you had to change text or bar colors for? I might have another problem, but it might be a feature I am not aware of because the dark colors are hiding it.

change the base colour of the writing Admin panel=> styles => colours => look for font color.

I still can't seem to find it.

All the text and font colors seems to be different shads of blue which was default with onxy, which should show up, but nothing.

I am assuming when u mean base color that u mean the first line which is Text Color? This is the color code that I have for it. #97aae6 which is a blue which should show up.

I just can't figure this out.

I found where I can change the background to the dropdown menu for the smilies, which will then make the black font show up. But changing that background color also changed the color background of the window for New Reply. So then the bright colors of the other forum fonts won't show up, when ppl try to write in a reply. It will once its posted, but the window where you type is where the color changed.

So that leaves me back to trying to find the location of where to change the black font, in the smiley dropdown list. This is a problem for both the chatbox and the reply window.

I have clicked the link in the ACP/Styles/Colors section, for a Colors Tutorial, but it no longer exists.

Is this something that will only be fixed by doing something with the CSS Stylesheet? I really don't understand that part at all.

I think u should be able to get in to see and post, as a guest now.

It is also a problem for the drop down menu at the bottom where the "jump to" dropdown message should appear. Again, the text is in black and with the dark onxy background, it will not appear.

Sorry! Actually I typed in color, but apparently it was too long and it cut the R off. I'll remove a comma then.

Well I solved it in another way. I could not find where to change the font color.

But I found an acceptable color for the background that would still look okay for the reply window as well.
