why do some people appear in bold when online
I know that mods and admin can appear in bold, but I have a user who is neither who is appearing in bold type in the online user section and I have another user who is worried that is because she is a mod (they have history) she isn't. but it will inevitably cause trouble, I have seen it happen on another site we all frequented. Do you know why it happens?
I have asked a similar question before, but I will try again is there anyway that I can make all users appear bold or normal type so no one knows if I ever decide to have a mod?
thanks in advance.

I dont know i would need a screen shot.
Other then that you can always have mod group hidden and do not have to give them a mod rank either if you want?

these are just random people who are not mods or in any other group than the members group. some people are just so paranoid that they think they see mods everywhere .I am a blooming one man band. lol

Did you check whether these members have their preferences set to be 'hidden'? That might be it. Admins 'see' them, on our board italicized, maybe they are bold on yours' -a thought.

Try by adding in your CSS Stylesheet:
- Code:
div#main div#main-content p a.colormod{
font-weight: normal !important;
font-style: normal !important;
}
div#main div#main-content p a.coloradmin{
font-weight: normal !important;
font-style: normal !important;
}
div#main div#main-content p a.colormod b{
font-weight: normal !important;
font-style: normal !important;
}
div#main div#main-content p a.coloradmin b{
font-weight: normal !important;
font-style: normal !important;
}

brilliant gassy, that seems to have done the trick. now hopefully it will reduce the paranoia level to just nuclear

I'm not a moderator. P.S. Helpers can't lock the topics and they are simple members.

ok thanks for the help though and if a mod sees it consider it job well done, give the man a prize.Gassy wrote:I'm not a moderator. P.S. Helpers can't lock the topics and they are simple members.
