Yeah this is something you would have to decide what is best for you.
You should create another test forum and try all the versions out first, then go with what you like best.

You can always switch to other versions any time you want, but keep in mind if and when you do that you will lose anything custom you have added, So be sure you save anything you may want to add back.

Other then that it's up to you to go with what you like best.
