Increase Forum Body Size

Hi guys

Issue:

What I want to do, is stretch the left side (column 1) out more much like I have done with the right side (column 3) thus increasing the size of the main forum (Column 2), but no matter what I change I don’t seem to be getting anywhere!! Is this because I have widgets showing on the left column and this prevents me from stretching the main body? I would like to keep the header and footer where they are and just focus on making the main area longer, Any help and tips are welcomed.

Do you have a CSS stylesheet or something like this ?
I may be the reason why you can change the body size...

General>Forum>Configuration

Scroll down to Pages structure:
now increase your Forum width (number or %) to whatever you want
click save and it should work

I am using CSS style stylesheets, thats how I changed the right hand side. Thanks for the reply

It doesn't work via the ADMIN PANEL cauise yo use a CSS stylesheet , you have to try to change via your CSS style sheet !



Give us your code and we will try to find where to change the value of body size !

Thanks for looking at it, it's a huge code hence my problem of getting to the route of it . will have to clear at the nonsene at some point. Thanks again!

Hi, go to your CSS Stylesheet, and add the following:

Code:

#content-container div#left {
margin-left: -80px;
}

I tired this at first and it never worked...Then I realised when looking at my code, that I already had content-container div#left but the margin as you put it here was nowhere to be seen!!! Thanks a ton this solved my problem, would have never of found it without your help cheers.

This can be locked as solved.
