Thanks button is can be used only one time before somebody else reply to the topic. So, you can give more thanks to users, but not in the same time... Only the author can use thanks button.

+ (like) button, can be used by all users of this forum.

I think there are a little update on the support forum. All staff members's posts have a green background, because staff's posts are more importants than a simple member.

I know the thanks button can only be used by the author.

And the Plus One too.. i know all members.

I think the custom background for the suppor moderators and other staff members exists a tutorial to do that

Not sure if tutorial, but about two months ago, Nera gaved the solution for a member who requested support to do the same thing. And... it's pretty simple.

Such a thanks system which you are looking for is only available with an external server and database, such as I have at AvacWeb, and also at DionDesigns. Javascript will need to be used for sending data between your forumotion server and external server to store the thanks/like information.

Or if forumotion updates their current thanks system I suppose, unlikely though.

The reason for why all moderators' backgrounds are green is because we added a Javascript code to distinguish our posts from normal members. It makes it easier to recognise a staff member.

This is not a new thanks system.
