Solved Having more than one administrator group on my forum

Post by Kalliopi February 14th 2012, 8:06 pm

I would like to know if it is possible to have more than one admin group on my forum. My groups are Admins Moderators and I have also made a new group Tech.

Two people helping me on the forum need to access the admin panel. One of them just wishes to be a regular member and not moderate at all, just help with techy things, it is for him I made the Tech group and would like his name to show in blue, even though he has admin rights. The other one is a moderator and again I do not want his name to show up in admin red, I wish it to be in the moderator green, , is this possible at all?

Thanking you in advance. Smile

Hello,

Make the groups hidden and make the groups you want colors closed or open.

Make a fake Admin account and hide the real one and then add all the staff you wish to have the rights to the ACP to the real one leave the fake one Closed group so it looks like it's the real Admin Group then add the tech to he's /her Tech Group and he / she will be blue.

Thanks guys, I am still struggling with this though, as I need to remain in the 'real' admin group & I want to be shown in red as the admin.

Here: make another group named Founders and put you in it and keep it just closed, not hidden.

You have to also put yourself in the fake group, stay in the real one though too
