How do you hide a Category/Forum from the Home Page WITHOUT...

...restricting access? So like the category does not show up on the homepage or anything but you can still fully access the forums and the category, if you find them. On my forum i am attempting to hide a category/forum and for it be found an alternate way by finding something else unusual in my normal forum posts, but i don't know how to hide the Category/Forum. Any help? Please and thank you.

Hello,

To hide a category, make sure that the forums under it are also hidden, you should have this permissions on those forums:
Admin Panel > General > Categories & Forums > Permissions > 'View and Read' : Make sure that it's unchecked for the other usergroups/groups.

Ok, but what if you just want to hide it from the home part of your forum? Like have it fully accessible by EVERYBODY, only you can only access the page a certain why like for example through a button somewhere on another post?:o

You can't make it accessible/seen for forum members if it's restricted on the forum's permissions.

Oh i know but i mean i don't WANT to restrict ANYTHING. I want the Category/Forum FULLY ACCESSIBLE BY ALL. Only i want it to not show up in the home page. So like its hidden. And actually....that should of been the question for the title of this question! Question title changed!

Can I get an idea what homepage do you mean? Do you mean the forum's portal? index? etc.
