Can't block member from posting
hi...
i've an educational website... so need to control that only educational materials that can 'go' in... but there's a member that keep on posting non-educational things... many many times i deleted the posts... at last, instead of banning that member, i checked to his/her profile & changed his/her password in the hope that member cannot log in anymore... but after several hours, she/he still can log in & do the posting again... i did it several times, & the same thing happened... i didn't ban her/him, coz not to bee seen too rude... her/his posting are okay, only that no 'value' at all to my educational website... & i don't want my website being flooded with these kind of postings... i haven't ban her/him... that's my last resort..
what is the problem? anyone... tq...

Change the email of his profile to something else & then change the password & then check.

well if someone is not going to follow your rules and continue to post things that are not allowed on your forum.
Then i would just ban them and be done with it. It dose not see like this person cares that they are being rude by continuing to post things you do not want on your forum.
Other then that place them in their own hidden group and set all permissions as you see fit

Yes, following up on the other replies -
If you change their password, they can use password recovery to change it again.
Rather banning them, just delete their profile completely.

You can create a personal, hidden group for a certain user. So, if the group is invisible/hidden you can just add the member to group and then, just change the permissions from the Forum => Categories & Forums =>
