    You can always change the User's Permission. You have 2 options, change the users option or banning him temporary.

    You can also put the forum in construction or holiday mode

    Hi,

    Go to:
    Admin Panel > General > Configuration > Forum in 'Holiday'/'Construction' > Yes > Save

    As an admin, you'll still be able to access your forum.
