Solved Question About the Terms of Service

    Post by AndurilWielder Wed 28 Mar 2012 - 3:27

I'm new to this particular part of forumotion, so forgive me

So I was going to try and PM someone regarding the Terms of Service, but it seems I can't do so unless I get a certain post count, or granted special privileges.
I was going to post a query in the FAQ and Rules section at the top, but once again, need post number higher/special privileges. It seems either way I'm stuck, so I'm just going to post this here.

So there's a section of the Forumotion T.o.S. in particular that I'm interested in. It states:

    Illicit contents
Forums that does welcome or promote warez, piracy, hacking, cracking, spamming, attacks against networks or servers, pornography, racial hatred, crimes against humanity, inappropriate activities on the servers, or any other actions which violate any applicable laws, aren't allowed. Any forum which contains texts, links, pictures, animations, videos or any other content recognized as illegal will be deleted without notice or warning. Forumotion.com reserves the right to delete any accounts or forums considered like not conform to the rules quoted here or specified in Forumotion.com or in the international website rules according to the international internet law. Any illegal content or act can or would be reported to the concerned services and prosecuted.

This may be weird, but what does the Terms of Service regarding another forum on the forumotion general community state about second-party hosts?

For example, lets say a forum whose host is forumotion posts a link to a picture with nudity, pornography, explicit content, offensive material, or any other form of questionable content - the content that isn't supposed to be hosted. As you know, a second party host is not the actual hoster, but the Terms of Service I think are vague or unclear about this. If someone posts a link or thread to a picture(s) with nudity, would that be against the rules? Are second-party hosts just as much at fault as the original poster in the staff's eyes? Could a forum be deleted or shut down because of this?

I think I'm being clear, but I'm not sure. It's a rather vague part of the rules I think, so I felt I had to put this out there. Sorry if this isn't in the right area, like I said, I was having trouble posting it where I wanted.

If someone post a link to another forum, website, or blog that contains anything illegal, your forum will be breaking the Terms of Service.
