Google Bot????

What is a google bot?.... A few of the forumotions I post on have a google bot and I was wondering what it is..... does any one here have it?

It came to my attention that this board has a google and yahoo bot...... anyways what is it and can I put it on my site?

Double posting is not allowed unless seperated by 24 hours. Use Edit Button to add..

when you google bot it means google server is caching the forumotions pages.

Google bot is software which cache all the pages of all added website to their search engine.

When you search in google it shows the results which google bot has visited and cached the pages.

First of all I don't see why double posting matters as long as it's a separate thought and not just to bump up the message.... but rules are rules and I didn't know that...... anyways thanks for the info

They are not dangerous bots. They are NOT spambots. Totally different things.

What's the difference between google bot and yahoo bot ?

google bot is of google while yahoo bot is of yahoo.

Google bot works for google search engine and yahoo bot for yahoo search engine. There are many bots but most popular google, yahoo, and msn.
