Hidden Forum

I'm not sure if this is in the right place or even possible but is it possible to have a forum that's hidden from users unless they follow a link? Or a forum that is hidden but they can post.

If I changed the settings so members can't see it, they can't post either.

Hi, yes I believe this is possible. Simply uncheck 'view the forum' but have 'read the topics' checked in the forum permissions. That way, if they have the link to the particular forum then they can access it.

When I do do that it says 'This forum does not exist' for users who aren't mods or admins.

Um i will have to test it on my test forum.
Like base said it should work, Be sure you have the permissions set for them to post in the forums as well.

then if that fails you will just have to place members in groups with accesses to them boards, You can always have the groups hidden others would never know someone is in the group, You can have members in more then one group as well.
