It's screwed up!

Ok so there's this forum which i go on quite regularly. Well it was hacked a few days ago, i got my friend who is also an admin to make me an admin (neither of us creted it) so i could try to restore the site. But when i put my email and password in it comes up with the forum i creted instead of the one that got hacked. Is their anyway i could make it back to normal or do i need to get the creator to do it?

Only the creator can login to the rescue tools, with the creator email and password
