Allowing guests to post.
Hi all, I want to allo guests to post in one forum only. I have set the permissions for all in that forum in Categoriess and forums but it still won't let guests post. Any ideas?

did you log out of your forum and try to post in it.
If you have the permissi9ons set right then it will work.
go back and check your permissions once again for the forum or forums you want to allow them to post in.
Admin panel>general>forums>
click on the forum you wish to set the permissions for. be sure the permissions are set to advanced mode. and set the following.
View the forum, Read the topics, Reply to a message and Open a new topic
The rest of the permissions will be up to you, be sure to hit save after you set them as well

(I actually thought you could only enable it on ALL forums, but then I remembered you could set it )

Done all that and It still won't let me do it.

i need to see screen shots of what you are doing then.
Also have you tried posting as a guest in the forums you are setting?

Yes fella, I logged out and when i sent the message it said you need a user name and wouldn't let me post.

Yeah thats how it works
You put any a name you want to use, the topic title. then add your message and hit send, then you will have to add a captcha conformation code and it will go through.
